The briefingBayernhafen wanted to update its online experience to appeal to a broader audience. The goal was to develop a visual language that feels bold and familiar and breaks the typical restraint of the competition.

The old corporate site
The old navigation structure was incredibly complex and cluttered. Therefore, in addition to a detailed card sorting as a cornerstone, I rebuilt the product with workshops.
With help of the results, the site's architecture was sharpened and went through several iterations. This allowed low-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to be developed for usability testing.

SolrTo minimize clicks and make navigating even more enjoyable, I chose Apache's Solr. Key features include full-text search, hit highlighting, faceted search, real-time indexing, dynamic clustering, database integration, and comprehensive document management.
The design gives us an emotional harbor.
